Originally a Miami boy, J.J. has trained at the University of Florida where he received a B.F.A. in Acting and has been putting his years of experience to work at the onset of his professional career.

Surrounded by the energetic, lively, Latino culture of South Florida, J.J. had dreams of living a life in the arts that would entertain, inspire, and influence his audiences from a very young age. The stories of his Cuban-American family and their journey to freedom and prosperity fueled J.J. to live out his own dreams by receiving an education focused on theatre at Miami’s mega-magnet, Coral Reef Senior High School, and at The School of Theatre and Dance at The University of Florida.

Recently, J.J. has starred in Solido productions' independent short film The Request, has worked with Rail Events and Warner Bros. for two consecutive years in their Florida premiere of The Polar Express Train Ride and was featured as part of the acting company in the 70th season of the classical outdoor drama Unto These Hills in Cherokee, NC.

Currently, J.J. is set to tour with Hampstead Stage Company, the touring children's theatre based in New Hampshire, to tell the classic stories of Aladdin and Hercules throughout the Northwest and Midwest regions of the U.S. this spring.

The passion for storytelling, entertaining, and revealing inner truths of the human condition has cultivated J.J.’s tenacity to pursue a career in acting. J.J. is currently based out of South Florida and has future plans to relocate to the New York area where he will continue to work, grow, and develop in his craft with other passionate and openhearted artists.
